The Statue of Unity depicts Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (1875–1950), a leading figure in the nonviolent Indian Independence Movement and the first Deputy Prime Minister/ Home Minister of Independent India.

The Statue of Unity has a viewing gallery at 135 metres, which can accommodate up to 200 visitors at a time and offers an expansive view of the dam and the surrounding beautiful mountain ranges of Satpuda and Vindhyachal.

There are attractions for kids near the Statue of Unity. Kids would love the Cactus Garden & River Rafting experience in Gujrat. A visit to the Statue of Unity is a must while you are visiting India.

    In your opinion, what is the youngest age a child can ride an elephant or a camel in the attractions you mentioned above?

    1. Thanks for reading the post. My son had taken an elephant ride when he was about 8 or 9 years old. And I have seen many younger kids riding on camels. But I think every child is different so you need to check if your kid is comfortable or not.

    1. Absolutely second that. India’s unity in diversity is something that is worth seeing, visiting & celebrating.
      Some places in India are a real gem & the architecture is just marvellous & they date back to the times when they did not have modern equipment to build these lovely temples and other buildings.

  15. I visited Sri Lanka with my family since we wanted to explore the many UNESCO World Heritage sites. India was next on our list. I think we will start with the Jim Corbett National Park to enjoy a jeep safari and nature strolls.
