Our New School Run Hero! π΄ββοΈ Is This the Best Scooter for Kids (That Grows With Them)?
If you have children, you’ll know one thing…
Buying anything for them feels like buying clothes.
You purchase something today…
…and somehow they’ve outgrown it by next Tuesday.
Scooters have always been one of those things for us. Every time we thought we’d found “the one”, it either became too small, wasn’t sturdy enough, or started rattling after a few months.
Then came our latest discovery…
And honestly?
I think we may finally have found the scooter that actually grows with your child.
(Plus…it’s pink. π Which, according to my daughter, automatically makes it at least 87% faster.)

Why We Needed A New Scooter
Our daughter’s school operates a School Street initiative.
Three days every week the road outside school is closed to normal traffic during drop-off and pick-up times.
No driving up to the gates.
No sneaking in “just this once.”
Which means we have three choices…

Guess which one a 7-year-old votes for every single time?
Needless to say, the scooter wins!
So we wanted something that wasn’t going to need replacing in another year or two.

Let’s be honest…
Before she’d even tested it, my daughter had already decided she loved it.
Why?
“It’s pink!”
Case closed.
Thankfully, after the excitement wore off, the scooter actually lived up to expectations.

This was probably the biggest selling point for us.
Unlike many scooters aimed only at younger children, this one has an adjustable handlebar.
That means it’s suitable from around my daughter’s age and can continue through the teenage years…and even into adulthood. Iβd love to highlight the front suspension and 200mm large wheels, which make the scooter great for commuting.

I may have “borrowed” it once or twice.

Parents will understand this one.

Even on slightly uneven pavements, it feels secure.
As a parent, that’s incredibly reassuring.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate one of my favourite features?

Honestly…
Why isn’t this standard on every scooter?
No more laying it on the ground.
No more balancing it against walls.
No more watching it dramatically fall over just as you’ve turned your back.
It simply stands neatly wherever you leave it.
It’s such a small feature…
…but one we’ve used every single day.

Another huge bonus.
The scooter folds down quickly.
Perfect when:
βοΈ putting it in the boot of the car

βοΈ taking it on family days out
βοΈ trying not to trip over yet another toy in the hallway!
Living in the UK, where sunshine can disappear in seconds, it’s also handy when we suddenly decide to abandon scooting and jump into the car because…well…rain happened.

It’s pink too. π
(Again…instant approval from my daughter.)

No complaints.
No “it’s too tight.”

She actually keeps it on!

Making School Runs More Fun
I never thought I’d say this…
But the school run has actually become enjoyable.
Instead of hearing…
“Are we there yet?”
I now hear…
“Can we go the long way?”
That’s a sentence I genuinely never expected from a seven-year-old!
The scooter has turned walking to school into something she actually looks forward to.
It also supports exactly what the School Street initiative is trying to achieveβencouraging children to be more active while reducing traffic around schools.
It’s a win for everyone.

You’ll definitely get your daily step count trying to keep up.

Pink scooters attract compliments from other children.
Lots of them!
I’ve lost count of how many times another child has asked…
“Where did you get your scooter?”

Absolutely.
